Growing up, I often bought CDs for just one song that caught my ear on the radio or in a movie, only to find the rest of the album didn't measure up. I couldn't play an instrument or write music back then, but I've always believed God blessed me with a keen sense for what makes a great song. This intuition drove me to strive for excellence in my music, ensuring every song I create resonates deeply.
Making music, for me, goes beyond crafting catchy guitar riffs, compelling lyrics, or melodies that linger in your mind—though these elements are crucial, or else my songs might never reach your ears. My true aim has always been to write music that offers hope, reflecting my journey of how Jesus brought light into my darkest moments. While the sound and style of my music may evolve, my mission remains unwavering, a constant for more than two decades.
The title of this album, "Learning How to Be Human," captures my ongoing growth and steadfast commitment to my calling. It's a reminder that, though I'm still learning, I remain dedicated to the purpose set before me from the start.
